Bennett's Lawn & Mulch

About Bennett's Lawn & Mulch

Out in Newberry, where Lycoming Creek slides down to meet the river, spring shows up muddy and then all at once green. Bennett's Lawn & Mulch meets it with a mower and a truckload of bark — beds edged clean, mulch laid dark and even so every hedge and hosta gets a frame worth looking at. Summer settles into mowing and trimming on a steady weekly turn; October is leaves, hauled off the yard before the first hard frost welds them down. Then the year flips and the same trucks come back with plows and salt, opening driveways along the west end while the streetlights are still burning. It is one place lived in all the way around the calendar, one yard at a time.
