About Gooden Gardens

Spring in White Oak starts down in the low ground near the park, where the trail-side maples green up a week ahead of everything else. Gooden Gardens takes it from there: the first mow of the year, the trimmer around fence posts and mailbox, a hard edge cut along every walk and bed. There is a fine moment when a lawn that spent all winter matted and gray comes back under the blade — you can watch it stand up. Through the warm months the routine holds, week over week, with a cleanup whenever the yard asks for one. Faithful work, done on a street that climbs toward the ridge.
