A & J Lawn Care

About A & J Lawn Care

Westmont was laid out for shade, its streets running straight beneath long rows of old trees on the hilltop above Johnstown. A & J Lawn Care mows the lawns underneath them, the deep front yards, the terraced side strips, the borough's generous setbacks, cutting in steady passes and trimming where turf meets the sidewalk squares and the stone steps. Shade lawns grow thin and slow in places and lush in the sunny gaps, so the cut gets set for what the whole yard can carry. Come fall, the same trees that make the summer make a month of leaf work, and getting it off before the first hard freeze is what keeps the grass ready for spring. A hilltop street of close-cut lawns under big trees is a fine thing to drive home to.
