About Ott Outdoor Services

West View climbs. The borough streets north of Pittsburgh run up and over the hills off Perry Highway, and nearly every driveway on them is a pitch. Ott Outdoor Services plows those before dawn on a snow morning, treating the aprons and the front walks so nobody has to take a hill on ice just to get to work. The rest of the year the same properties come back as tidy squares of grass between brick houses: mowed, string-trimmed along the retaining walls, cleared off the sidewalk. Beds get mulched, and autumn leaves get pulled out of the hedges where the wind packs them tight. Small yards on steep ground reward doing it right, and it shows from the top of the street.
