About Phil's Lawn Care INC

Snow settles strangely on serpentine ground, drifting over the open barrens at Nottingham Park and piling into the hedgerows along the farm lanes down toward the Maryland line. Phil's Lawn Care INC runs snow removal through southern Chester County winters, opening long private drives, clearing walks and turnarounds, and salting the shaded stretches where the pitch pines keep sun off the asphalt all day. Out here a lane can run a quarter mile before it meets a road that has seen a plow, so the work starts early and the pass is cut wide enough to matter. Storms come up the Octoraro valley with almost nothing to slow them, and the wind refills what was cleared an hour ago, which is what a second trip is for. The measure of a night is simple: whether the truck gets out at six without anyone having to think about it.
