About Thunderscapes LLC

Snow reaches West Mifflin sideways, riding up the Monongahela on a west wind and stacking against every north-facing drive in the borough. Thunderscapes LLC handles that and nothing else: plowing driveways, breaking down the ridge the road truck leaves at the apron, opening walks to bare concrete. On grades this steep the job is mostly timing — arriving before traffic packs it into ice, and coming back again when the storm is not finished with you. There is a particular hush in a cleared drive at four in the morning with flakes still falling and the pavement holding its line. Winter is the whole of the work here, and it gets undivided attention.
