About Lawn Patrol

West Mifflin is built on a hillside, and every yard in it has an opinion about gravity. Lawn Patrol takes both halves of the year here: mowing slopes and terraces through the humid Mon Valley summers, then plowing and shoveling those same pitched driveways when winter comes up the river. From the high streets you can see the bend of the Monongahela and the lights of Kennywood down the hill, and in between sit a few thousand small lawns that people care about deeply. Summer work means mowing, trimming and edging on ground that rarely sits flat; winter work means a drive opened, a walk salted, and a car that gets out for the morning shift. The satisfaction is the same in either season — a place made passable and neat before anyone had to worry about it.
