About Custom Turf

Up on the flat ground near Allegheny County Airport the wind crosses open acreage with nothing to slow it, and turf that lives out there earns its keep. Custom Turf tends the West Mifflin lawns where the land finally levels off and the sky feels wider than it does down in the valley. Mowing on that plateau is a long, straight pleasure — full passes, unhurried turns, a border that follows the walk all the way to the door. In winter the same wind carves drifts across a driveway overnight, and pushing them back before the first commute is its own quiet accomplishment. The place rewards anyone willing to be outside in whatever it happens to be doing.
