About BFF Arbor and Lawn

West Mifflin runs uphill in nearly every direction, and BFF Arbor and Lawn works those grades the way the borough was built — one terraced yard at a time. In October the maples along the ravines above Thompson Run turn the whole hillside copper, and a lawn mowed on the contour holds that color like a frame. Come winter the same slopes glaze over before anyone is awake, so the plow and the shovel start early and the drive is open by the time the door is. Lawn care up here means reading a pitch: keeping turf thick enough to stay put through a February thaw and even enough to look deliberate from the street. It is steady outdoor work for neighbors on steep ground, and the finished look is the entire point.
