About Above and Beyond Housekeeping Services

West Lawn lies west of Reading in a neat grid of streets, and when February settles over Berks County every one of those sidewalks needs somebody. Above and Beyond Housekeeping Services clears the snow — plowing driveways and lots, shoveling walks and front steps, and salting where the daytime melt refreezes overnight into something dangerous. Storms come over the ridge and drop down into the Cacoosing valley, and they do not always announce themselves first. A clear path to the door by breakfast is a small mercy, and it is the whole ambition of the work. These winters are short on daylight and long on ice; the schedule bends around both.
