About Benchmark Property Maintenance
Up in the woods near Mount Gretna the lawns are clearings, green rooms carved among oaks with a cottage porch on one side and forest on the other. Benchmark Property Maintenance mows and trims that kind of ground across West Cornwall Township, working around root humps, stone edges and the shade that keeps half a yard cool all afternoon. Grass under a canopy grows unevenly, thin here and lush there, so the passes are set to suit the light each section gets. When the oaks let go in November, clearing the fall is what keeps a small lawn from smothering before winter. The result is modest and lovely: a trim patch of open green with the woods standing right at its edge.
