About Ward Landscape Services

In West Chester, even some of the stone is green: soft serpentine, quarried in Chester County, faces old campus halls and borough houses, and in April it seems to glow beside the new grass. Ward Landscape Services cares for lawns in a town of brick sidewalks and close-set lots, where a front yard may be only a few strides deep and everyone walking toward High Street sees it. That kind of visibility rewards precision: an even cut, a crisp edge against the brick, clippings swept from the walk before the next stroller rolls by. When late sun warms the columns of the old courthouse, a well-kept lawn is part of what makes the borough feel like itself. It's small-ground work, carried out with a county seat's sense of occasion.
