About S&H Stump Grinding LLC

Waverly keeps its stone walls, its old maples and its village green up in the Abington hills, where the air cools a week ahead of Scranton down below. Take a tree out of a yard like that and the stump is the part everyone still sees, so S&H Stump Grinding LLC finishes what it starts — grinding the wood down below grade, filling the hollow, raking the chips so grass has a fair chance by midsummer. The removals and trimming come first: a leaning silver maple over a garage, a limb crowding a slate roof, a hemlock hedge that has stopped behaving like a hedge. The work stays quiet enough not to trouble the street and thorough enough that nobody trips over what is left behind. By August the only sign of it is a slightly greener patch of lawn.
