About The Mowing Man LLC

Mist lifts off the West Branch of the Susquehanna at Watsontown and lies over the bottomland until mid-morning, so the day's first lawns wait a little while for the grass to dry. The Mowing Man LLC uses that hour to get set, then works the town's side streets and the farm-edge yards north toward Dewart. Mowing, trimming, edging and cleanup make up the list, and the list doesn't need to be longer than that to be done properly. A cut lawn in this valley in July has a particular look about it — river-flat green, sharp at the sidewalk, the smell of it carrying two houses down. That is the part worth taking pride in, and it shows up again every week.
