About Miller JL & Sons

Some storms start at lunchtime, and by four o'clock in Washington the light is already going and the streets have gone from wet to white. Miller JL & Sons runs straight through that evening stretch, plowing driveways and lots as the accumulation builds, scraping walks and steps, laying salt so nothing sets up hard overnight. The steep drives in East Washington are the ones that decide whether a plow operator knows the town — you clear them with the grade in mind or you do it twice. Getting a household back into its own garage before supper is the sort of small victory that keeps a truck out until the last address is done. Storm work covers Washington, East Washington and the neighboring boroughs.
