Status Mow

About Status Mow

By the middle of May, Warminster smells of cut grass from the ball fields at the community park all the way out to the last cul-de-sac. Status Mow is part of that chorus: mowing on a set rotation, trimming the fence lines, cutting the edge along the walk and the drive, hauling off what the season drops. Then the year turns and the same trucks carry blades — driveways opened, paths shoveled, salt down on the steps. Two very different kinds of early morning, one habit of showing up. The reward is visible from the street either way: a straight edge in July, black pavement in January.
