Matteo & Sons Turf Care

About Matteo & Sons Turf Care

April brings Wampum back all at once — the hillside streets go green, the old rail grade below town fills in with brush, and every lawn in the borough seems to need cutting the very same week. Matteo & Sons Turf Care meets it head on: first mows of the year, edges reopened along the walks and drives, winter's litter raked out and hauled away. Yards here sit at angles, stacked up the slope, so a straight line takes some doing and it shows plainly when you get one. Through the summer the routine settles into something steady and the lawns keep their shape between visits. There are worse ways to spend a morning than in Lawrence County with the grass coming up.
