Virgil's tree service

About Virgil's tree service

Morning fog lies along the Delaware in Upper Mount Bethel until the sun clears the Jersey side and lifts it off the water. Above the river the ground climbs toward the Kittatinny Ridge through fields, old slate ground and hedgerows gone shaggy with locust and ash. Virgil's tree service works that whole mix — removals on tight quarry-town lots near Portland, trimming that opens a farm lane back up, pruning that shapes a yard tree rather than just shortening it. Ice comes off the ridge hard some winters, and the storm damage cleanup that follows leaves the driveway open and the fence line clear before dark. There is real satisfaction in a hillside that looks tended instead of merely cut.
