Late August in the township smells like cut hay and warm dust, and the light goes long and gold across the ridge-and-valley fields toward Bangor. Blue Ribbon Lawn and Landscape works that hour, mowing, string trimming and edging until a yard's shape reads plainly from the end of the driveway. Beds are weeded and mulched, borders re-cut, overgrown corners brought back to something worth walking past. The heavier turns of the year get their own visits: matted thatch raked out in April, the long leaf haul in November. It is plain outdoor work, done to a line.
