Along the Route 191 corridor the roadside maples turn early, and by mid-October every lawn in Upper Mount Bethel township is wearing them. Through the warm months the pace is steadier, with weekly mowing, trimming around posts and foundations, and edges held true where lawn meets pavement. A yard raked out to bare green in November looks ready to sleep. Come April the same routine runs in reverse, and the grass wakes up tidy.
