About Carter's Excavating

Ulster lies on the flat river ground where the Susquehanna makes its long easy bend, the Bradford County hills standing back politely on either side. Carter's Excavating keeps the grass here: mowing, trimming close around posts and porch steps, edging the walks until a yard has its outline back. Bottomland soil pushes growth hard through June, and there is real pleasure in returning to a lawn that got away from somebody and leaving it level and striped. Beds are cleaned out in spring and mulched, and in fall the leaves come off before wet weather mats them into the turf. Route 6 goes by all day, and the yards along it stay in order.
