SANTOS AND SON, INC.

About SANTOS AND SON, INC.

Storms reach Tinicum Township in the dark most of the time, wind coming up off the water and the first flakes arriving sideways under the streetlights. SANTOS AND SON, INC. is out in it, plowing lots and drives, stacking snow where it will not block a sightline, shoveling steps and walks by hand where the blade cannot reach. The second pass matters as much as the first, and so does the de-icer laid down after the wind has drifted a lane shut for the third time. When the sky finally clears over the river and the township wakes to blue cold, the pavement is already dark and open.
