About Draft Busterz

Winter comes to Tinicum Township off the Delaware, damp and quiet, and lays itself down on the driveways before anyone has stirred. Draft Busterz works those early hours — plowing lanes back to their gravel, clearing walks and steps, spreading salt where the shade holds ice long after the rest of the yard has let go. There is a particular satisfaction in a driveway opened at four in the morning, the berm cut clean at the mailbox, the whole property ready before the coffee is poured. Storms here can turn on a degree or two, so the temperature gets watched the way river folks watch water. By the time the sun finds the sycamores along the bank, the way out is already clear.
