About SKC Excavation & More

Thompson is a small Susquehanna County borough in the Endless Mountains, where the old D&H rail line now runs as a trail and February snow can lie deep across the dairy pastures for weeks. An excavation outfit by trade, SKC Excavation & More picks up the plow once winter arrives in earnest, carving out driveways and lots after the drifts pile high. There is a quiet thrill in a hill-country drive cut cleanly through a drift, white walls standing on either side and the road waiting at the end. Up here, where winter does not fool around, that cleared path is how the week gets going.
