About Valovich & Sons

Where the Delaware cuts through the ridge at the Water Gap the wind funnels hard, and sleet can turn a driveway to glass in twenty minutes. Valovich & Sons runs snow removal on that stretch of Monroe County — plowing, shoveling and salting for homes and businesses around Stroudsburg and the Gap. On ice days the job is less about volume than about grip: treat it early, treat it again, keep passable the walk somebody's grandmother uses. Under Mount Minsi in January the work feels appropriately serious. It is also, straightforwardly, satisfying — the shine gone dull, the footing back.
