About Frankie Contractor LLC

Snow in the Poconos rarely announces itself politely; it comes down the ridges overnight and by three in the morning the country outside Stroudsburg is one uninterrupted white. That hour belongs to Frankie Contractor LLC — headlights on an unbroken driveway, the first pass, then the widening. Snow removal is the whole of the work here, and it gets done the way plowing ought to be: down to the surface, back far enough for the mailbox, cornered so nobody has to wade. By the time Route 80 starts humming again the drives are open and the day can proceed as though nothing had happened. That nothing-happened feeling is the entire point.
