East Coast Green

About East Coast Green

Saint Thomas sits out along the Lincoln Highway west of Chambersburg, with the Tuscarora ridge standing up blue at the end of every westward view. East Coast Green mows and maintains lawns across that limestone country, trimming, edging and clearing up after each season, then turns to plows and shovels when winter comes down off the mountain. Valley snow can be wet and heavy, the kind that packs a lane solid, and a driveway opened before daylight says more than any speech about it. In June the grass runs thick between the orchards and the corn, and a clean line cut along a fencerow is a satisfying thing to leave behind. Green ground or white, the aim holds steady: a place that is ready to be used.
