About Hersh Concepts LLC

At four in the morning in winter the mill plume over Spring Grove goes straight up and holds there, lit from beneath, stars behind it — one of the better arguments for being awake before the borough is. Hersh Concepts LLC is out in those hours for snow removal: plowing drives and lots, cutting walkways down to the concrete, treating the north-facing slope that will glaze over again by noon. Snow along the South Branch of the Codorus comes wet and heavy far more often than it comes light and dry. Heavy snow means going early and going more than once. By the time the first cars roll down Main Street, the pavement is dark again.
