True Grade Excavating and Hauling

About True Grade Excavating and Hauling

On the open ground up top the wind does more damage than the snowfall — a four-inch storm drifts into two-foot ridges across a lane by morning. True Grade Excavating and Hauling clears those lanes and driveways in Lewis Township, pushing banks off the shoulders so the next round has somewhere to go, cutting parking areas square, shoveling and salting the walks and steps by the door. There is a plain kind of pride in arriving before anyone is awake and leaving nothing but bare gravel and a tidy edge. High country like this can stay locked in white for weeks, so the season is less a series of storms than one long assignment. Work runs through the township and the farms along the surrounding backroads.
