About STS Arborists

Late winter in Somerset County smells like woodsmoke and boiling sap, and the sugar maples along the back roads have been giving that up for longer than anyone here has been counting. STS Arborists spends its days among trees like those — watching how a crown fills out, where the rot begins, what a wound from three winters ago has been doing under the bark. Pruning is patient work, cut by cut, because a maple that may stand another fifty years deserves a plan rather than a hurry. Tree health care means catching small trouble early, in the fungus at the flare or the branch that leafs out a week late. When removal is genuinely the answer, it is done without drama, and the yard gets its sky back.
