About Drakes Lawn & Land Services LLC

South of the township line the fields roll down toward the Casselman, and the wind that turns the ridge turbines lays the grass over before any blade reaches it. Drakes Lawn & Land Services LLC works that open country — mowing, trimming, edging, and hauling off the leaves and winter litter when the seasons turn. Late afternoon is the hour to see the result, light coming in low and every fresh line throwing its own small shadow across the yard. A property gets finished, and then it gets looked at from the road, the way a farmer looks back down a plowed row. Somerset Township is wide and wind-scoured, and a well-kept lawn out here reads like a signature written across all that space.
