Bowlby's Lawn Service & Greenhouse

About Bowlby's Lawn Service & Greenhouse

In March the greenhouse glass fogs from the inside while the wind still comes hard across the open ground outside. Bowlby's Lawn Service & Greenhouse keeps one eye on the flats and the other on the calendar, waiting for the ground above the Stonycreek to firm up enough to work. Then the season turns all at once, and it is mowing, trimming, edging, bed care and cleanups across Somerset until the light gives out in October. A lawn cut on a cool evening up here holds its stripes for days. That is the reward — grass that keeps its lines, borders that keep their shape, and a yard that looks finished rather than merely mowed.
