Down by the towpath at Lumberville the Delaware runs slow and the fieldstone walls hold the heat of the afternoon well past supper. Old World Landscape LLC works both halves of the Solebury year: mowing, trimming, edging and bed care through the green months, then plowing and shoveling drives and walks once the river valley turns white. The two jobs share one instinct — leave a clean line, whether it is the edge of a lawn along a flagstone path or the edge of a plowed drive against a bank. Summer evenings the mown yards give off that sweet cut smell all the way out to the road; January mornings the same properties are open and salted by breakfast. Same ground, tended twice over.
