Pegg's Lawn Care

About Pegg's Lawn Care

By late July the hills above Smithfield hum: heat sitting in the hollows, the Monongahela running low off toward Point Marion, and grass that grows back the moment you turn your head. Pegg's Lawn Care keeps a steady rhythm through it — mow, trim, edge, blow the clippings off the walk, and on to the next gate. There is a particular satisfaction in a hillside yard cut clean on a hot afternoon, the stripes following the contour instead of fighting it. Fall brings the leaves down and the work turns to raking and cleanup while the ridge behind town goes rust and gold. Same yards, different season, same tidy line at the end of the day.
