About KONDRLA EXCAVATING & HAULING LLC

Smithfield lies under Chestnut Ridge in Fayette County coke-and-coal country, where the Laurel Highlands take the first bite out of every storm heading east. What falls as rain down in the valley is already stacking up on the ridge road, and the drives out here run long, steep and gravel. KONDRLA EXCAVATING & HAULING LLC pushes that snow back with a plow, opens turnarounds wide enough to actually turn around in, and treats the ice that forms where meltwater crosses the lane. A hilltop drive cleared end to end while the ridge is still dark and the woods stand loaded white is worth the cold. When the wind comes back around and refills the cut, the truck simply goes out again.
