Superior Ponds & Waterfalls

About Superior Ponds & Waterfalls

Winter changes the sound of Berks County: the running water goes quiet under ice, and the whole of Sinking Spring seems to be holding still. Superior Ponds & Waterfalls turns to snow removal through that stretch of the year — plowing driveways clean, opening walkways, and salting the shaded spots that stay slick long after everything else has dried. Storms come over South Mountain and pool in the low ground, and the shoveling is easier at three in the morning than at nine. There is a plain pleasure in finishing a driveway just as the sky goes gray at the edges. Come the thaw, the water starts talking again.
