About Forest Hills Excavating LLC

Along Blacklick Creek the hemlocks hold their snow for days, and the old rail grade below runs white and level straight through the woods. Forest Hills Excavating LLC works the roads above it, where nothing is level and every drive has a hill built into it. Plowing, clearing, cutting the banks back, cinders and salt on the steep approach where tires spin — a Cambria County winter is a matter of grade as much as depth. Storms up here settle in and stay a week, so the work is a series of returns rather than one clean pass. The measure of it is a mail truck that makes the turn without slowing down.
