Buchanan tree service and snow plowing

About Buchanan tree service and snow plowing

Snow means something particular in Sidman, where the Alleghenies stack it deep and a system that merely dusts the valleys buries the ridge roads above the Little Conemaugh. Buchanan tree service and snow plowing runs the winter here, plowing driveways and lots, breaking open the steep approaches, shoveling walks and doorways, salting the ice that forms in every shaded cut. Deep in a long storm the truck's lights are the only ones moving on the mountain, and the work is measured by one plain thing, whether a family can pull out in the morning. Cambria County winters are long and they test everything, which is why the second and third passes count as much as the first. Come daylight the fields are white to the treeline and the drives are black, and that is the job done.
