Awn Cut & Trim

About Awn Cut & Trim

Saturday morning in Shrewsbury, and the sound carrying over Main Street is mowers, the town's weekly conversation with its own grass. Awn Cut & Trim is part of that chorus, working borough lots and the properties out where the streets give way to farmland rolling south toward the Maryland line. The work is mowing at the right height, trimming close around posts and beds, edging so a walk reads as a line instead of a suggestion, and clearing every clipping off the concrete before the truck pulls away. Done on a schedule, a yard stops being a chore and becomes something pleasant to look at from the porch. In this part of York County, where the fields are laid out square to the horizon, a tidy lawn simply belongs.
