About Weaver Hauling & Excavating

East of town the corn stubble runs out to the interstate, and on a clear morning after a storm the whole valley glitters between its two mountain walls. Weaver Hauling & Excavating is out ahead of that sunrise, plowing lots and driveways, hauling snow off where there is nowhere left to stack it, clearing walks and spreading salt for the freeze that follows a bright day. Moving material is the trade year-round; in winter the material happens to be snow. The pleasure is a wide-open lot with every pile put exactly where it belongs. Shippensburg gets back to work, and the pavement never comes up in conversation.
