Brickhouse Lawncare

About Brickhouse Lawncare

Summer mornings in Shinglehouse arrive as mist coming off the Oswayo, hanging in the bottomland until the sun clears the ridge and burns it off. That is when Brickhouse Lawncare gets cutting, working the flat yards along the creek and the sloped ones that climb toward the hemlocks. Mowing, trimming and edging are the whole of the job here, and the pleasure of it lives in the lines — straight, even, a clean border where grass meets walk. By afternoon a yard that was shaggy at daybreak looks like someone tends it, because someone does. It is plain work, repeated weekly, in a small Potter County town where a tidy lawn gets noticed.
