Stake's Tree Service

About Stake's Tree Service

Shade Gap sits where the long ridges of Huntingdon County part just enough to let a road and a tiny borough slip through, and the sun there arrives late over one mountain and leaves early behind the other. Stake's Tree Service works this gap town in both halves of the year. Through the growing months that means mowing and trimming yards that run right up to hayfields and wooded slopes, cut so each house sits tidy against all that green. When winter comes down off the ridgetops, the work turns to snow removal, plowing out lanes and driveways so the first trip down the valley in the morning isn't a gamble. There is real satisfaction in seeing the gap look tended: lawns squared away in August, drives showing dark against the white in January.
