Wendt's Lawn Care

About Wendt's Lawn Care

The first mow of April smells like nothing else, and around Selinsgrove it arrives quickly once the ridges lose their gray. Wendt's Lawn Care opens the season with cleanups — winter's litter off the beds, the matted grass raked awake — then settles into the weekly cut. The borders get cut in last, because a lawn only reads as tended when its edges are decided. The route runs through the borough and out toward Kreamer and Freeburg, where hedgerows still mark the old field lines. By November the leaves are down, the grass is short, and the whole thing is ready to begin again.
