About J.R. Landscaping

Scranton keeps its iron and its rail yards right in the middle of town, and there is something bracing about mowing a green strip in the shadow of that much brick and rust. J.R. Landscaping looks after the growing side of the city — cutting, edging, trimming, then clearing the leaves when the season turns them loose. After that the work runs hard in the other direction: snow plowed off drives, walkways shoveled, ice treated so the first steps of a morning are steady ones. Storms come up this valley on their own schedule and the phone follows right behind them. What lasts is how a place looks afterward, whether that is a sharp-cut lawn in June or bare pavement at dawn in January.
