About Heaps Landscaping

Spring Mountain stands over Schwenksville with its slopes lit at night, and when a storm comes up the valley it finds that ridge before it finds anybody's driveway. Heaps Landscaping keeps its hours by those storms — plowing, shoveling walks, spreading salt while the borough is still dark and the roads are still just two tracks. There is a real satisfaction in a drive opened wide to the pavement with the edges square, so a car backs out without a second thought. Come daylight the work reads as absence: no drift at the mailbox, no crust at the garage door. That is the whole errand of a snow outfit, and it is the errand every single time.
