Luca V's Lawncare

About Luca V's Lawncare

Ross township folds down toward Girty's Run in a series of steep little valleys, and half the yards up here are hillside yards — short, tilted, ringed with oaks. Luca V's Lawncare mows them anyway, taking the slope crossways, keeping the wheels honest, trimming the banks and stone steps a deck will never reach. In October the leaves come down faster than the grass grows, and the cleanup counts for as much as the cut. There is something satisfying about the last pass of the day, when the light drops behind the ridge and a hillside lawn looks like it was drawn with a ruler.
