About Ritchey Hardscapes & Landscaping

Snow squalls come over Tussey Mountain into Morrison's Cove sideways, and the Cove's flat limestone farmland gives that wind nothing to slow it down. Ritchey Hardscapes & Landscaping plows through those days around Roaring Spring — long farm lanes, borough driveways, lots where a drift rebuilds itself an hour after you leave. Plowing, clearing walks and doorways, salting the places that glaze over once the sun drops behind the ridge. Blair County winters run in stretches, and the work is measured in return trips as much as in inches. When the wind finally quits and a lane runs open fence to fence, that is the part worth staying up for. Roaring Spring, Martinsburg, East Freedom and Woodbury.
