About Porty's Lawncare & Landscaping

October on the mountain comes early: the birches go yellow while Scranton down in the valley is still green, and the wind on the ridge road starts carrying leaves before anybody has raked one. Porty's Lawncare & Landscaping runs the season out here — the last cuts of the year, the trimming tightened up, the fall cleanups that clear a lawn and a driveway of everything the woods dropped on them. Through summer it is mowing and edging on a steady weekly turn, which is how a yard stays easy instead of becoming a project. It is a fine feeling, that final pass of the year: tarps loaded, the grass short and tidy under bare trees. Roaring Brook Township and neighboring Elmhurst, Moscow and Dunmore.
