Four Seasons Ground Care

About Four Seasons Ground Care

Snow arrives in Roaring Brook Township the way it always has — quietly, on the upslope wind, a good hour before it reaches the valley floor at Scranton. Four Seasons Ground Care is out in it well before the alarm clocks go, plowing the long mountain driveways, opening the turnarounds, salting the grades so the first car of the morning never has to think about any of it. A drive on this ridge can climb sixty feet in a hundred, and clearing one properly is a matter of patience and passes, not speed. Shoveled walks, a squared apron at the road, banks pushed back far enough to hold whatever comes next — that is the entire job, done the way it should be. By the time the sky goes pewter over the Moosics, the work is behind them and the township is moving again.
