About Cullum Excavating

By seven on a July evening the heat lets go of the Armstrong County hills, the hay smell comes up out of the fields, and the last stretch of mowing gets done in that long gold light. Cullum Excavating works lawns around Rayburn Township, where a property can be part yard, part slope, part meadow that simply wants to be kept honest. Mowing, string trimming around posts and foundations, tidy borders at the sidewalk and the driveway apron — small things that add up to a place looking cared for from the road. Fireflies come up out of the uncut margins as the light goes, and the finished stripes hold their shape all the way to the treeline. It is ordinary work done in the coolest hour of the day, from Ford City up to Cowansville.
